In preparation for the Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) that came into effect on the 1st October, Austin Benn has been taking the necessary steps to ensure it is fully compliant with the current legislation.
Our focus has been around implementing changes to our existing systems and processes to automate a significant part of the burden of the Agency Workers Regulations compliance, for our consultants, clients and candidates. In addition to this, the other key elements have been to keep clients and candidates fully informed through a series of legal bulletins.
The approach has been the introduction of a phased programme over a number of months, reviewing and revising current processes, followed by educating and training our consultants. This has ensured a smooth transition from where we were to when the Agency Workers Regulations came into effect.
Our revised systems and processes, from registration to pay & bill, will provide increased visibility to our consultants, clients and candidates of when temporary workers have reached the qualifying period. This will provide peace of mind that we will ease the compliance burden of the Agency Workers Regulations for our clients, proving that we are the right agency to partner with.
