As a multinational group with a presence in over 10 countries world wide, our client specialises in lifting, materials handling, measurement of tension and loads, suspended working platforms, building maintenance installations and fall arrest safety equipment and are now looking for a Area Sales Manager.
Area Sales Manager Construction/Building safety and material handling
£25,000 to £28,000 basic + car, commission and fully comprehensive package
Based M4 Corridor ideally (Swindon, Reading, Bracknell, Basingstoke, Bath, Oxford, Aylesbury, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Milton Keynes, Slough)
Covering Southern UK Territory
Founded in the 1950s and with headquarters in France, this distributor of lifting and pulling equipment also manufacture with bases in Europe and America. They have built an excellent reputation within the construction and building industry.
As Area Sales Manager you will cover a territory including South East and South West UK, focusing on the lifting equipment side of the business. Your main responsibility will be to maintain and develop existing distributor contacts and results, examine opportunities for existing and new products and to have understanding of the changing market place.
It is essential that this individual comes from an engineering background. Ideally you will also have knowledge of the lifting gear market place, although this is not crucial. It would be advantageous if you have experience of managing a distribution network. You will be a very self motivated individual, able to manage your self and your own time efficiently. The ideal candidate will come from a similar industry within Construction, being able to demonstrate competency of knowledge across diverse sectors. First and foremost, you will be a Sales person: a rapport builder who can close a deal with conviction.
