Our client a highly regarded, top ten, accountancy firm with an established reputation, have in recent years built an enviable media profile in the national press but are now looking to focus their message towards their core markets. With this in mind they are looking for a Senior Public Relations Executive, to join their existing team, to play a key role in establishing the firms position.
Senior Public Relations Executive
£35,000 - £38,000 Basic Salary + comprehensive benefits.
Located: London
Reporting to: PR Manager
Based in London, our client is a leading business and financial adviser to thousands of corporate and institutional clients with offices in over 30 locations nationwide. They are one of the worlds leading international organisations of independently owned and managed accountancy firms which offer a high quality and personalised service wherever their clients choose to do business.
As the Senior Public Relations Executive you will play an instrumental role in establishing the firms position as a credible alternative to its major competitors. The role will be diverse and will draw together the key elements of the firms capability, including its international offerings, specialist services and sector expertise. Management responsibility will include project responsibility for Public Relations Executives and 1 communications Assistant.
Responsibilities include:
* Advising on Public Relations tactics, messaging and positioning
* Management and training of spokespeople
* Being aware of PR activities across all service lines to ensure consistent messages
* Ensuring the firm positions itself confidently, powerfully and clearly across all channels
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and will ideally hold a Chartered Institute of Public Relations qualification, although this is not essential. Critical for your application will be strong media relations experience, preferably within a professional services, financial services or corporate communications environment (in-house or agency). Crisis management experience along with knowledge of devising and developing research projects which will be key. You will also bring with you an established network of media contacts and have a track record in devising and developing corporate PR activity to position an organisation within the press.
